Wheels Spin is developed and operated by Warming Neon Ltd, a UK-registered company (Companies House: 16891563), registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC142846.

What data the app collects
Wheels Spin stores the following data exclusively on your device using local storage. None of this is transmitted to our servers or any third party except as described below.
- Vehicle registration numbers you enter
- Vehicle details retrieved from DVLA (make, model, MOT status, tax status, etc.)
- Vehicle specifications retrieved from Vehicle Data Global Ltd
- Photos and videos you capture or import for your vehicles
- Purchase price, maintenance costs and service records you manually enter
- Notes and custom fields you add to your vehicle profiles
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personal identifying information. We do not require you to create an account.
Third party API services
When you enter a registration number and tap Fetch, Wheels Spin contacts the following services on your behalf:
- DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service — retrieves make, colour, fuel type, MOT and tax status. Operated by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (gov.uk).
- Vehicle Data Global Ltd — retrieves detailed vehicle specifications and vehicle images. Based in Swansea, UK.
Photos and videos
Photos and videos you add to Wheels Spin — whether captured in-app or imported from your gallery — are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server. Vehicle images retrieved via the Vehicle Data Global API are downloaded and cached locally. These are stock images of vehicle models, not images of your specific vehicle.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking pixels
- We do not collect crash reports or diagnostics
- We do not have access to your contacts, calendar, or location
- We do not store anything on our own servers
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing
Camera and photo library access
Wheels Spin requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to capture walkaround videos and add photos to your vehicle profiles. This access is only used when you actively trigger these features. We do not scan your library or access any media beyond what you explicitly select or capture within the app.
Children
Wheels Spin is rated 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us. As all data is stored locally on the device, a parent or guardian can remove it by deleting vehicle profiles within the app or uninstalling Wheels Spin entirely.
Your rights under UK GDPR
As a UK-based company registered with the ICO, we are committed to your rights under UK GDPR. Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are already in full control:
- Right of access — all your data is on your device, visible within the app
- Right to erasure — delete vehicles or uninstall the app to remove all data
- Right to portability — your data does not leave your device
- Right to object — you can disable API lookups by simply not using the fetch function
If you have any concerns about how your data is handled, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy — for example if we introduce cloud sync or analytics in a future version — we will update this page and note the revision date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
